On a whim, I searched deviantART for a club based on Stephen Colbert and his show on Comedy Central, The Colbert Report. To my dismay, there seemed to be nothing. I was appalled. How could this great man have gone unappreciated on this site? So I said to myself, "Why not make a club myself?" And that's what happened.

THE COLBERT FAN CLUB MISSION STATEMENT

TO promote truthiness, freedom, and democracy not only in our country, but in areas where the light of American values has not yet penetrated,
TO encourage love of our country and President in all areas of the world,
IF, when encouraging said love or promoting said values, confronted with anger or hostility, to respond in kind with classic American weaponry,
TO abstain from un-American activities, such as using the metric system or driving fuel-efficient cars,
TO defend and patrol our nation's borders against incursions by illegal immigrants,
TO shoot and kill any bear on sight, asking no questions and giving no mercy,
AND to heighten the standing of Stephen Colbert among the common people.

So Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States a couple days ago. I would've cried if I had watched it, but I was too busy boarding up the windows of my house and stocking up on firearms and ammunition to notice. It's all fun and games and closing down Gitmo now; but when it all goes to Hell in a handbasket, I'll be ready. Mark my words, America.

In other news, the deviantART profiles seem to have gotten a facelift. I feel it was much needed because I've always wanted a text box as part of my devID, and I also wanted to get rid of some unnecessary features of the profile page. A little housecleaning, as I learned from inauguration day, does a body good.

As a parting comment, I encourage all of you Heroes to keep making that awesome truthiness/Colbert inspired art (or Jon Stewart if you have the stomach), even in spite of our current political situation. Stay strong, America! Mommy's coming in a few years! *sniffle* Just hold on, we'll get through this.

*muffled weeping*
